    WebCell is managed by a comprehensive set of tools that control every aspect of the corporate purchasing system and include workflow processes to ensure that orders are managed accurately and within service level timelines.

    A major component of the administration system is the price matrix manager. This system governs every price that is offered to each client based on the structure of each deal negotiated. It is a real-time price calculator that instantaneously updates pricing as hardware and accessory prices change.

    Plan information is organized in the plan manager. This utility enables the creation and modification of the structure of each service plan including all rates, features and descriptive information.

    The feature manager governs feature details, and includes controls that ensure that features that are in bundles cannot be ordered separately when the bundle is selected.

    The company manager oversees which plans, features, hardware and accessories are available to each client. It controls the hierarchy of the corporate account and each user who has access to the system. Approval controls are included to govern which users have permission to complete orders and, if they don’t, which management users must give approval.

    WebCell is a full-featured system that has been developed and continually enhanced since 1999. In 2002, it became the backbone of managing online corporate ordering for Bell and BWireless, Telus’s largest corporate fulfillment partner in Canada.     The Bell implementation of WebCell began in 2002. It was originally used as a pilot program for Bell’s southern Ontario corporate sales team, and successfully handled high-volume orders for many of Bell’s largest clients. In 2005, WebCell became a central part of Bell’s corporate strategy and was rolled out across Canada. Moveable Online integrated WebCell with Bell’s internal SAP system, creating an end-to-end web-based order management solution.

    BWireless is Telus’s largest corporate dealer. Although it had always been good at managing the relationship and fulfillment process for large corporations, when it implemented WebCell in 2002, the quality of service it could offer instantly leapt forward and its business grew rapidly.

    In 2005, BWireless entered into an agreement with Moveable Online for exclusivity of WebCell use within Telus. Today it is involved in most new large deployments with government agencies and corporations across Canada, as its ability to handle volume far exceeds all other Telus channels.

    Rogers Corporate Portal

    Moveable Online developed a prototype system for Rogers based on the WebCell framework to enable Rogers’ corporate accounts to purchase wireless services and hardware through a secure personalized web ordering portal.
